ABOUT FOLK DANCING

Folkdancing is a great way to have fun, meet people, stay fit and express yourself. Most folk dances are done in line or circle formations and do not require a partner. Every country has their native dances. Some countries hold dances regularly in rural villages, at weddings and parties. Each country's dances have their own flavor. In the United States, some people enjoy square dancing. I'm afraid that's a little out of my realm. I mean to say, although I live in the United States, I am more intrigued by folk dances from other countries.
